Screening test soon Selection of Assistant Professor 12/4/2015 11:56:02 PM Akshay Azad Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 4: The Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) has decided to conduct screening test in six subjects, of the candidates who have applied for the posts of Assistant Professors in Colleges. Sources informed Early Times that after scrutiny of all the forms for College Assistant Professor posts, the Commission has now decided to conduct screening test in six subjects including Management, Political Science, Sociology, Education, Urdu and Environmental Sciences. Earlier, Early Times had reported that PSC was likely to conduct screening test in eight subjects but the final decision was to be taken by the Commission and following a meeting of JKPSC members, it was decided by Commission to conduct screening test only after proper scrutiny of all the forms. "The scrutiny of all the forms is completed and it has been found that application forms in above said these six subjects are above the criteria fixed by the Commission. So it is almost final that screening test will be conducted in six subjects and not in eight", sources said. They further said that for the last few days, the Commission has been notifying the deficiency lists of various subjects and in the coming days all the remaining deficiency lists would be published, after which interviews would be conducted in all other remaining subjects, other than six. Secretary of JKPSC, Shakeel-ur-Rehman accepted that screening test would be conducted in these six subjects. On being asked about the syllabus for the screening test, he said that Commission has almost finalized the syllabus and would be published soon. "Commission is likely to conduct screening test in the month of January", he said.
