Jammu, Dec 4: Department of Horticulture, Jammu organized a mega farmers camp at Government fruit plant nursery Garhi Bishnah, Khour Block in which 100 farmers participated. MLA Chamb Dr Krishan lal Bhagat was the chief guest.
During the camp S.Kirtan Singh Raina, Chief Horticulture Officer, Jammu, welcomed MLA Chamb and also deliberated upon various schemes implemented by the Department. Cheques amounting to Rs 8.5 lakhs were also got distributed through MLA amongst 43 beneficiaries. MLA during course of his address stressed upon the farmers to adopt modern Horticulture Techniques to improve productivity and quality of fruit. MLA also appreciated the work of Horticulture Department. The event concluded with vote of thanks by Horticulture Development Officer , Khour Dr Amit saraf. |
