PHEWWA leaders urge cadre to make strike a 'success' | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 4: In order connection to make the 'protest call' successful a team of senior leaders of PHE Workers Welfare Association (PHEWWA) led by Subash Verma Provincial General Secretary visited various PHE Stations in Jammu district and urged the employees to participate in day long token strike called by the association in support of various long pending demands of PHE employees including casual labourers. "During the visits to different PHE Stations, the senior union leaders including Subash Verma Provincial General Secretary of the association made fervent appeal to employees to participate in the upcoming protest demonstration to be held on Dec 11 at the office of Chief Engineer PHE B C Road Jammu in support of their demands, the spokesperson of PHEWWA said. "The association leader expressed their concerns over permanent non gazetted employees who are the backbone of this department but have been the worst sufferer, he said and added, "they have been deprived of their due rights for which they are forced to struggle for last many years." Among others who accompanied Subash Verma Provincial General Secretary of the Association, Rattan Doshi, Ram Labhaya Manzoor Ali, Varun Dogra, Lal Chand, Ramesh Kumar and Raju Jamwal. |
