34 IPS (Prob) officers call on IGP Jammu 12/4/2015 11:16:45 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 4: Thirty four IPS (Probationary) Officers of 66 RR- Batch-2014 of different States of the country today called on Inspector General of Police (IGP), Jammu Zone, Jammu Danesh Rana-IPS in his office chamber at Zonal Police Headquarters, Jammu. Official spokesperson said that during interaction Danesh Rana-IPS IGP Jammu Zone briefed the officers with regard to the challenges being faced by police/security forces in view of militancy, Crime and Law and order front in the State of Jammu and Kashmir. "IGP Jammu also briefed the probationer regarding collection of Intelligence related inputs connected with militancy and timely sharing the same with all concerned agencies to achieve the desired results, spokesperson said. He added, "On Border management, IGP Jammu Zone gave detailed briefing to the probationer IPS Officers with regard to the issues emerged due to Ceasefire violation on International border and Line of Control and problems being faced by the Police /Civil Administration dealing the situation in border area." " Rana also briefed them about the steps which required to be taken in wake of migration of people in border area due heavy shelling from across the border. The probationers were also apprised about the measures being taken to strengthen the anti Infiltration Grid on IB/LOC in border districts of Jammu province, he added.
