JAMMU, Dec 4: The symposium and poster making competition was held today on the theme of Environmental Pollution and its Control in which fifteen students participated. The symposium started with lighting of lamp by the chief guest Principal, Dr. S.P.Sharma and other dignitaries.
Speaking on the occasion Dr. S.P.Sharma threw light on the causes and prevention of different kinds of pollution in the environment. The students while participating in the symposium expressed their views on Environmental Pollution and suggested ways to keep clean and green environment. Taniya Bharti, Deepika Sharma and Surbhi were adjudged I,II and III in symposium. In Poster making 10 students participated among them Radha Sharma, Riya Sharma and Diksha Kumari bagged I,II and III positions respectively. Prof. Tarsem Lal, Prof. Raj Kumar Gupta and Prof. Rewa Lakhnotra were the judges of both the events. The event was co-ordinated by Farhana Kouser, Department of Environment Sciences. |
