Kathua, Dec 4 : The NCC cadets of Government degree College Kathua, Govt. Hr Sec. School Kathua, St. Xavier's Covent School and Govt. ITI Kathua today jointly launched Cleanliness drive under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan at Old Age Home Kathua under the supervision of Associate NCC officers Lt Sandeep Choudhary, T/o Ravinder Kumar, T/o BD Sharma, C/T Ravinder Kumar with a motto to contribute in the ongoing Swachh Bharat Abhiyan that was launched by Prime Minister of India. Prior to the start of the cleanliness drive, the NCC cadets introduced themselves to the mates of the Old Age Home and explained to them their motive of coming to the home. While interacting to media, Lt (Prof.) Sandeep Choudhary informed about the activities and said during this one day programme NCC cadets contributed by cleaning the whole area including entrance, court yard and back side besides temple. Later on, these cadets cleaned and mopped the residential area wherein these mates reside. After cleaning the whole area, the NCC cadets organized few cultural items to entertain these mates besides interacting personally. They presented songs; skits and mimicry even aged people also expressed their feelings during the programme. NCC distributes refreshment among mates with the aim to make the mates happy and satisfied to the activities. |
