ACC students shine in Aryans Cricket League

Srinagar, Dec 5 : The JK students of Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh dominated Aryans Cricket League-2015 organized by Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh at its campus. The league was organized to build sportsmanship qualities in its students and develop healthy competition in them. Maqbool Hussain was declared as the man of the match while Vivek was declared as the Man of the tournament. "Aryans Royal Rebels" became champions after defeating "Aryans Civilanz" in finals for Trophy. The B.Tech, MBA, BBA, BCA, BA, B.Ed, GNM, Polytechnic students of Aryans participated in the League. Dr Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges congratulated the winners and appreciated the efforts made by the students and organizers of the league to engage the youth in a constructive manner. He further honoured the winners in a special Prize Distribution Ceremony held at closing of the Match. A total of 8 teams participated in the League by the students from different colleges of Aryans Group i.e Aryans Business School, Aryans College of Engineering, Aryans College of Education, Aryans Institute of Management and Technology, Aryans Degree College, Aryans Institute of Nursing. Speaking on the occasion, the Captain of the winning team Gagandeep Singh, who is a JK student said that the efforts were put in by all the team members. He added that all the players specially the bowlers played really well due to which they won the Championship. Giving details about the final match, he told that they won the toss and chose to bat first and made 357 runs. The losing team was all out at the score of 240.
Prof. B.S. Sidhu, Registrar, Aryans Group said that such events considerably improve and build mutual relationship between faculty and students. He further said that the match was quite interesting and both the team played the match with full spirit & enthusiasm.
