| POWERGRID Cricket Tournament-2015 concludes | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 5 : A six day Inter-Regional POWERGRID Cricket Tournament-2015 concluded here today with Corporate centre emerging as the winners of the tournament.
In an exciting finals played here today CC defeated NR-I by 27 runs.
Batting first after winning the toss CC scored 146 overs for the loss of 8 wickets in their 20 overs. Highlight of their innings was hurricane innings of 38 not our runs by Tushar Parida. For NR-I , Pankaj Rai took three wickets for 21 runs in 4 overs. Chasing the target of 147 runs, NR-I lost its early batsmen quickly . Innings of Hariom, Puran and Kripal gave some respect to the NR-I innings.
However, NR-I managed to score only 119 in their 19.2 overs. Mukesh Bhakar and Udit took three wickets whereas Mahesh Pruthy and Sandeep took two wickets each.
Tushar Parida was declared man of the match for his wining inning. SK Sharma, Executive Director POWERGRID , Northern Region-II was the Chief guest in the final match. He gave away the trophies and mementos to the players and officials. |
