| St Francis School celebrates Annual Day | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 5 : St. Francis Hr. Sec. School, Akhnoor celebrated its Annual Day with great pomp and show which witnessed splendid performances by students reflecting the true spirit of theme of the event "Franciscans Talent Show". The event also marked the launch of new website of school viz.sfhssakhnoor.org and felicitation of various meritorious students.
The event was graced by the presence of Sanjay Kumar Singh, Commandant, 33 BN, BSF, Akhnoor who was the Chief Guest and Most Rev. Dr. Ivan Pereira, Bishop of Jammu-Srinagar Diocese was the Guest of Honour on the occasion. Vice Principal welcomed the august gathering which was followed by the exceptional performances by the students who dipicted Indian culture as well as the spirit to preserve nature.
The Chief guest lauded the students for their remarkable display of talent and appreciated the commendable efforts of the staff and management of the school for their dedicated efforts in nurturing students to become responsible citizens .He also recalled his own school days when he studied in a Christian Missionary school in Agra which shaped him into an honest and committed officer. Bishop Ivan Pereira, the Guest of Honour, lauded the principal, staff and students for the excellent show they had put up and blessed the entire Franciscan family. Speaking on the occasion, he called for a holistic growth of students through which they can serve the nation in an effective and transparent manner.
Earlier, sixteen position holders from class 8th, seventeen rank holders from class 10th, and three meritorious students from class 12th were honored for bringing laurels to the school with their commendable academic achievements in the previous academic session |
