RAJOURI, Dec 5 : Rajouri Athletics Association organised district championship at Government PG College, here in collaboration with sports department of the institution. The event was sponsored by J&K State Sports Council.
During the day-long competition, athletes contested in various field and track events wherein the coveted sprint gold went to Anwar ul Haq.
Later, the winner athletes were given away the medals and certificates by the college Principal, Prof Shabir Hussain, who was chief guest.
Prominent among others present included Prof Abdul Rashid Chowdhary, Prof Haqeqat Singh, Prof Javid Mughal, Dr Mohd. Bashir, Rakesh Puri, Prof Yasir, Prof Tarseem, Lt. Tanvir Ahmed and Sahil Raina.

100 mts : Anwar Ul Haq, Ist; Javied Iqbal, 2nd and Fazan Shabir, 3rd.
200 mts : Faizan Shabir, Ist; Mohd Rafi, 2nd nad Ajaz Farooq, 3rd.
400 mts : Mohd Hanief, Ist; Inskhar Ahmed, 2nd and Jaswant Singh, 3rd.
800 mts : Mohd Rayaz, Ist; Sajad Ahmed, 2nd and Arshad Mehmood, 3rd.
1500 mts : Rajesh Kumar, Ist; Shafiq Ahmed, 2nd and Mohd Araf Choudhary, 3rd. |
