| Poor BSNL service irks Poonch people, PDFD stages protest | | |  Rajesh Tandon

Poonch, Dec 14: The extremely poor service of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) in district Poonch is irking the common customers, who have been suffering because of insensitive attitude of Government owned telecom service providing company today also staged protest under the banner of Poonch Development Front (PDF) staged a protest against the poor service of BSNL.
Protestors alleged that ever since the launching of BSNL service in Poonch, there has been complaints of poor signal but nothing was done by the concerned authorities to improve the same.
"While the world, nation and majority of state has been experiencing better telecommunication with each and every passing day, the trend is in complete contrast in Poonch," said Nishu Sharma, President PDF. He also added that poor internet service is also disturbing online banking and other online services.
A number of BSNL subscribers alleged that they were facing difficulties because of poor BSNL signal. "If somebody wants to make call, it doesn't work and after continuous trying for hours together, call hardly gets connected, he said. The situation gets worse if the person receiving call is not able to hear the voice of caller. Then you have to make the call to talk to the same person and thus have to pay twice," maintained another protestor in Poonch.
The subscribers alleged that there has been significant decrease in the internet speed of BSNL. The BSNL internet has been a cause of irritation for them as they say most times it doesn't function properly.
"Due to poor internet services, many BSNL subscribers have switched over to other service-providers for better internet services, another added while giving vent to his ire. |
