AIBCU holds meet
12/14/2015 10:38:06 PM
Early Times Report
Kathua, Dec 14: All India Backward Classes Union today criticized the previous NC-Congress Govt. for rejecting the solution provided by the Union when a deputation of AIBCU met former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in Sept. 2013 at New Secretariat Srinagar and suggested a " magic solution" under para 95 of the Apex Court's Judgment of 1992 on Mandal Report.
This was discussed in a district meet of the union at Kathua under the chairmanship of its State president Abdul Majid Malik where views were also shared by Sandokh Chand, Jammu Province President, Darshan Kumar, Munshi Ram Bangotra (Rtd. CEO), S. Rajinder Singh, Master Sain Dass, Prof. Kali Dass and many others. The State President said that NC regime ignored the implementation of Mandal report, rather it tried its level best to make the upper people as socially and educationally backward on the name of RBA which proved detrimental to the State OBC's due share of 27% by creating new class of RBA/ALC, This was a most treacherous move with 20% and 3% reservation respectively which is only shared by the upper castes among "Muslims and Hindus" who only form 15% to 20% of State population and kept the real OBCs of the State high and dry
State OBCs voted BJP and PDP with this hope that they will stand by their slogan but they also never showed such intensions and even after the lapse of eight months no BJP leader from the State as well as from the Centre has made any statement for the implementation of Mandal Report to fullfil its social justice agenda
In the meeting Om Parkash Verma was elected unanimously as District President of AIBCU Kathua District who was proposed by Anil Kashyap, Ashok Kumar Verma, Vikramjit (Vicky), Subash Verma, Sanjeev Verma, Goldi Kumar, Lovely Changotra, Ashok Kumar.
