Dilapidated road triggers protest, people block link road at Nagri 12/14/2015 10:38:38 PM Early Times Report Kathua, Dec14:- While expressing satisfaction for declaring the Tehsil status of Nagri-Parole which is adjacent to Punjab and an alternative to Lakhanpur entry to the State, the residents today came on the road and blocked link road Nagri for several hours Dr.Madhu Soodan criticized the District administration, GREF and BRO for not constructing the road since Independence which is great nuisance value and sufferings for the commuters as well adding further that state government converted the town into Tehsil merely in paper as nothing new development has taken place in the town. He said no new scheme, development work or special facility has been provided to thousands people. He said number of deputations approached to district administration, MLA, MP and projected the demand for construction of road from Jakhbar to Mata Bala Sundri but nothing has done in this regard. He demanded road connectivity within days otherwise warned to stage aggressive agitation. Arpan Verma , a local Youth, said he never saw blacktopping on the link road Nagri since birth. He said PWD handed over the road to GREF in 1995 that failed to provide good road connectivity.
