Demanding centre in Kishtwar, NCSU holds protest against SSRB | | | Early Times Report Kishtwar, Dec 14: National Conference Student Union (NCSU) Kishtwar along with unemployed youth held a strong protest against Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board (SSRB) and also blocked the National Highway in front of DC office Kishtwar disrupting the vehicular movement on this ever busy road. Led by District President Nayeem Javed Sheikh the NCSU and large number of unemployed youths were demanded allotment of Examination centre at their own respective Districts including Kishtwar. While talking to "Early Times" Nayeem Javed said that unemployed youth are suffering lot of problems in terms of getting jobs while at the same time the present system of conducting examination at Jammu or Srinagar is adding salt to the wounds of the job aspirants. "We demanded that centre of SSRB examination should be allotted in every District as the majority of unemployed youth cannot afford to go to other far off places," added Nayeem Javed. An unemployed youth among the protestors Arshad Zaffar Doolwal said that the youths are suffering from the last 6 months due to frequent shifting of examination dates by SSRB. Doolwal, added that frequently changing dates of examination at the last instance is also creating problem for the youths. The agitating youths later on the intervention of SHO Kishtwar Mohammad Afzal Wani called on ADC Kishtwar Kishori Lal Sharma gave a patient hearing to the aggrieved and assured them that the administration will take up the matter with the Board officials and subsequently the agitating youth lift the road blockade. Among others who participated in protest include Mubasher Sheikh, Sahil Kotwal, Saboor Aslam Dev, Rahul Shan, Bilal Waza. Sabir Amin, Aamir, Masoom Sheikh, Mudasir Sheikh, Shakir Mughal, Aqib Zargar,Amir Lone and others. |
