| AJKPC demands removal of nominated chairpersons of DDB | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 14: All Jammu and Kashmir Panchayat Conference (AJKPC) today demanded the removal of all the nominated chairpersons of the District Development Board (DDB). "After the Jammu and Kashmir government order issued by the Planning and Development Department terming nomination of the chairpersons of district development boards as illegal and void, we demand the removal of all nominated chairpersons of the district development board," AJKPC President Anil Sharma said in a statement here today.
He said that AJKPC has submitted a memorandum to the government demanding removal of chairpersons of all 20 district as he alleged that they were illegally appointed by the government in violations of the Jammu and Kashmir Panchayati Raj Act.
"We have requested the governor that such appointments are in clear violation of the state law and hence they have also been declared null and void by the Planning and Development Department, hence they must be removed immediately," he said. |
