JAMMU, Dec 14 : Sohail Khalid clinched the senior billiards title outplaying Nikhil Kapahi 3-1 in the final of the 22nd State Billiards and Snooker Championship underway at Billiards Hall, MA Stadium, here today.
Losing the opening frame 86-100 to his junior, Sohail fought back and dominated the game thus winning the following three to make it 3-1.
The score: 86-100, 100-73, 101-53, 100-63.
Earlier, Younis Kuchey defeated Rahil Bhat in the senior snooker final making it 4-3 late yesterday evening.
Meanwhile, the sub-junior billiards event got underway today with Jonty Singh, Saharsh Mahajan, Padam Gupta and Basit Wani winning their respective games.
