JAMMU, Dec 14 : Sunil Kumar and Ravinder Kour won men's 12 KM and women's eight kilometres events respectively in the Ist State Cross Country Competition held under the banner of J&K Amature Athletics Association at MA Stadium, here. General secretary of J&K Olympic Association, Ashutosh Sharma was chief guest, who gave away the medals. Veterah national athlete, Naveen Arora was guest of honour. Also present were Association secretary, Ravinder Singh, SS Gill, Sharad Chander, Ramesh Sharma, Gurucharan Singh, Chaimail Singh, Vinod Bhatia and Jaideep Singh.

Men: 12 kilometer: Sunil Kumar, Ist; Riaz Ahmed, 2nd and Imtiaz Ahmed, 3rd. Boys: Under-18 year six kilometre: Abhinbav, Ist; Akshay, 2nd and Sahil, 3rd.Open Women eight kilometre: Ravinder Kour , Ist. Under-16 girls 2 kilometer: Shilpa Charak. |
