| Two injured in Liquor Shop attack in Mendhar | | | MS Nazki

Poonch, Dec 14: A wine shop in the close vicinity of Bus Stand Mehdhar was attacked by some unknown persons resulting injuries to two of employees of the shops.
'The Injured both employees of the shop have been identified as Sanjay Gupta and Kannu Kapoor, police said.
Sources said that a wine shop, situated in the close vicinity of Bus Stand Mendhar was attacked by some unknown person here today resulting injuries to two persons. "Both the injured have been admitted in Sub District Hospital (SDH) Mendhar while a case under FIR No 150 stands registered in this regards at Police Stations Mendhar, sources added.
Pertinent to mention here that a couple of months ago DC Poonch had ordered closure of all liquor shops existing in the close vicinity of the Bus Stand Mendhar on the complaint of the people of the area.
Meanwhile Sarpanch of the town, Beopar Mandal and Hindu Sanatan Sabha Poonch have condemned the attack and expressed their concern that some fringe elements who are hell bent to disturb the peace of the area. They added both majority and minority communities are united to thwart and untoward attempt. They also mentioned that earlier MoS Altaf Bukhari's cavalcade was attacked to disturb the peace in area.
Meanwhile people of the area have made fervent appeal to Director General of Police that there is every apprehension of negotiations who have been booked for the same. |
