BBIA demands release of pending power connections | | | Jammu, Dec 14: Bari Brahmana Industrial Association (BBIA) today held meeting under the President ship of Lalit Mahajan in which they demanded immediate release of pending power connections of Industrial Units. According to press release, members of Association discussed the casual attitude of Power Development Department towards Industrial Sector in respect clearance of pending Power Sanction cases of 7800 HP Power Load of New Connections / additional Power requirement of the Units located in SIDCO Industrial Complex, Bari Brahmana from last two years. They further said that the unit holders were suffering badly as they have already invested crores of Rupees on the Plant and Machinery and sitting idle due to non release of Power Connections in spite of Power Load available at 50X2 MVA Station at Bari Brahmana. It is pertinent to mention that on one side Industries Minister is taking steps on war footing basis for the rapid Industrialization in our State to create the Employment Opportunities but on the other side the negative attitude of the Power Development Department creates hurdles in the growth of Industrial Sector. BBIA appeals to Dy. Chief Minister Dr. Nirmal Singh who is also our Power Minister and Minister for Industries and Commerce Chander Prakash to kindly intervene in the matter and issue necessary orders to clear the pending cases on urgent basis which will provide great relief to the Industrial Sector. Rahul Bansal Sr. Vice President, Varun Singla, Vice President, Ajay Langer General Secretary, P.S. Jaggi Secretary and Viraaj Malhota Treasurer were also attended the meeting. |
