Jammu, Dec 14 : VRS/GHS employees of Jammu and Kashmir SRTC today staged a dharna in favour of their demands under leadership of Dev Raj Bali, President of the union here today.
According to press release, they strongly criticized the attitude of J&K Transport Higher Authorities towards the VRS/GHS employees of J&K SRTC as the authority had promised that to clear/settle the accounts but after long time, it has been failed to redressal their demands.
They further said we are struggling for our dues for the last more than 5 years but due to callous approach of the department concerned, our dues are still not clear.
Our demands are 6th Pay commissioner arrears w.e.f. 1st Jan.2006 and COLA arrears since 1999 and pension benefits, bonus 8.33% of the basic pay. We urged the Finance Minister to put out our arrears of 6th pay commission and COLA arrears in the coming budget session of 2016-17.
