Early Times Report Vijaypur, Dec 15: A function was organised to pay tributes and commemorate the 44th martyrdom day of Captain Bahadur Singh at his native Bhambo Chak village in Ramgarh area of Samba district. Chander Prakash Ganga, Minister for Industry and Commerce was present as chief guest while Army and district officers including prominent citizens of the area also participated in the function and laid wreaths martyr's smarak. Speakers highlighted the deeds of martyr, Bahadur Singh, who attained martyrdom on December 15, 1971 during Indo-Pak War. He was awarded the Vir Chakra for his dedication and courage. Ganga said the sacrifice of Bahadur Singh is proud for the people of Bhambo Chak village and J&K state as well. He urged the youth to follow the path of peace, unity and integrity. Balwant Singh, Sat Slarbi, Ujagar Singh, Abhinav Choudhary and Ashok Sharma were some of the prominent speakers who addressed the gathering. |
