| Kousar death case: Victim's kin got statements recorded | | |

Poonch, Dec 15: The family members and relatives of deceased Gulshan Kousar, who died after being administered a wrong injection on Dec 9 at Mendhar today got their statements recorded in front of inquiry committee.
According to sources, the relatives including her 80 yr old father-in-law Mohd Din, Mohd Yaqoob father of the victim Foja Bi and Mohd Shakal Chowhan other relatives besides five children of the victim got their statements recorded.
"The statements were recorded by Tehsildar Mendhar, Salam Din in presence of Block Medical Officer (BMO) Mendhar Dr Zulfkar Chowdhary," sources said.
However the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Poonch Dr Mumtaz Bhatti and Naib Tehsildar Mendhar Aftab who were also part of Inquiry committee were not present when statements of Kousar's kin were being recorded, "sources added.
"The Reader from SDM Mendhar, Concerned SHO were also present at statement recording," sources said.
DC Poonch MH Malik briefly said that the re-constituted inquiry committee has been given four days to submit the complete report before DC Poonch and accordingly action will be taken. |
