| NMAET holds farmers training program | | | Early Times Report
Samba, Dec 15: First one day Farmers training programme organized in On Farm School at village Channi Jassu Panchyat Sadoh Block Samba under National Mission on Agricultural Extension and Technology Rabi 2015-16.
Before the start of the programme, Project Director NMAET District Samba V. K. Bhushan brief the farmers regarding importance of On Farm School in the field of Extension and advise them to remain punctual and alert during all the six training programmes which will be conducted at different stages of the wheat crop.
Dy. Project Director NMAET District Samba Ashok Gupta while interacting with the farmers delivered effective technical message regarding Seed Treatment with Carbandazim and Tebuconazole and soil treatment by using farm yard manure with bio pesticide Trichoderma. He further gave suggestion to the participating farmers not to dump cowdung here and there and adopt scientific and organic based technology in their respective fields for betterment of their production and productivity.
Sr Scientist from advance centre for rain fed agriculture SKUAST-J Rakh Dhiansar Dr Vikas Abrol Delivered impressive and effective lecture to the farmers on soil health card and gave practical demonstration regarding collection of Soil Samples from the field before sowing of the crop.
Relevant literature was also provided to the farmers of the On Farm School during the training programme. On this Occasion AEO Rehiyan Pardeep Abrol, JAEO Vinod Khajuria, VAEA Rajesh Singh, Anil Choudhary and achiever farmer Deep Singh remain present. |
