| Married woman dies mysteriously, family alleges foul play | | | Early Times Report
Mendhar, Dec 15: Alleging a foul play the family members of a young married lady who died under mysterious circumstances today staged a strong protest by placing victim's body on road side and alleged that her in laws of domestic violence. Police sources said that the victim has been identified as Tasleem Akhtar w/o Naseer Ahmed r/o Bonala Mendhar.
They said the victim was admitted in Sub District Hospital (SDH) Mendhar on the other day by her family members after she left her in laws house and came to house of her maternal uncle. "The victim was married to Naseer Ahmed some eight months ago," sources added.
Quoting family members, sources said, "She might have consumed some poisonous substance before leaving her in laws house as her (victim's) condition started deteriorating and family members rushed her to SDH Mendhar immediately." Sources said that as per family members that none from her in laws was present in the hospital even when she breathed her last only her mother and sisters were present further indicating some suspicious.
"The doctors attending her referred her to District Hospital Rajouri where she breathed her last today at 7:00 pm, they said.
After post mortem and legal formalities when the body was handed over to family members, they placed it on the road side and staged protest demonstration against the in laws of the victim.
Relatives alleged that her mother-in-law and husband used to beat her mercilessly which lead her to take extreme step. They demanded a thorough probe into the matter and arrest of all the members of victim's in laws. |
