JKRCEA, SROs, Retired Forum criticize evasive approach of State Govt | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 15: Jammu and Kashmir Reserve Categories Employees Association (JKRCEA), Socio-Religious Organisations (SRO), Retired Forum and Sarpanchs and Panchs of reserved categories criticized the evasive approach of State Government in dealing with the issue of restoration of reservation in promotion. Addressing gathering, the representatives of these sections went upto the extent of threatening mass agitation throughout the state which according to them would lead to political debacle, if the Govt. failed in restoring the reservation in promotion for the SC/ST/OBC/RBA and ALC categories employees. Dr. Sanjay Bhasin said with the formation of new coalition government, the reserved classes pinned lots of hopes for proper implementation of reservation in recruitment, promotion and all other developmental schemes but with the way, the issue of reservation in promotion is being dealt by the Govt it seems that govt is unconcerned. Welcoming the 'Satus quo' order of Supreme Court in SLP No 32820/2015XVIA titled Mohammad Hanif Lone and Ors vs Ashok Kumar Sharma and Ors, over the DB verdict in which the reservation in promotion was struck down, Dr. Bhasin informed that despite the fact that the J&K State Govt. was a party in this cases but unfortunately it evaded from challenging the DB verdict before Apex Court. The present "Status quo" was granted after the officers/employees of reserved classes themselves approached the Suprreme Court said that the communities set last hope on Chief Minister, who while hearing a delegation-of JKRCEA and assured to reslove this issue in the ensuing Assesmbly session. Bodh Raj Bhagat, Vice President, All India Bhagat Maha Sabha warned the Ministers and Legislators of their communities of serious consequences, if they would be failed in protecting the reservation in promotion of reserved categories employees.
