SRINAGAR, Dec 15: Five residents of Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) arrived here while only two Kashmiri crossed over to other side of the Line of Control (LOC) to meet their relatives separated in 1947 due to partition, official sources said here today. As many as 20 returnees also crossed sides at Kaman post, the last Indian military post on this side of the LoC in Uri sector in north Kashmir district of Baramulla, sources said. They said five PoK residents, including two women, arrived at Kaman post after crossing the Aman Setu, peace bridge on foot. However, six residents of Kashmir, who had gone to other side of the LoC, also returned to their homes after completing stay in PoK.
They included two women, source said. They said two Kashmiris, including a woman, crossed over to other side of LoC to meet their relatives in the Karvan-e-Aman bus, operating between Srinagar and Muzaffarabad, capital of POK since April 7,2005. As many as 14 PoK residents, including five women and two children, who had arrived here in previous buses, also returned to their homes. India and Pakistan agreed to allow travel of divided families on Travel Permits instead of International passports.
