JAMMU, Dec 15 : Momin Mehraj today emerged as new junior snooker champion after he defeated Rohit Sharma 3-2 in the ongoing 22nd State Billiards and Snooker Championship, organised by J&K Billiards and Snooker Championship at Billiards Hall, MA Stadium, here.
It was not an easy task for Momin to achieve and he had to undergo a close contest that lasted for full five frames. Down 1-2 at one stage, Momin fought back patiently and emerged triumph 3-2. The score: 65-46, 21-59, 24-61, 49-48, 56-15).
Meanwhile, in sub-junior billiards event, Furkan and Aman made it to the next round winning their respective matches today. The Results: Rurkan Wani bt Jonty Singh 2-0 (50-40, 50-37); Aman Choudhary bt Varun Gupta 2-1 (50-27, 31-50, 50-46). |
