Billawar, Dec 15 : Government Degree College, Billawar in collaboration with Nehru Yuva Kendra, Kathua organized a Declamation Contest on the topic "Patriotism and National Building".
A large number of students participated and shared their views with the audience. Ist, 2nd and 3rd postioned were attained by Yasmine Ali of B.A part-III, Rukhsana Akhter of B.Sc. part-III and Amrit Bharti of B.Sc. Part -II respectively. All the three winners will further participate at district level, state level and National Level.
Principal of the college, Prof. Suresh Kumar Sharma exhorted upon the students that patriotism is a major factor for national building. He appealed the youth to remain patriotic and commit themselves to nation-building.
He also underlined the importance of discipline and good morals to help promote national unity and cohesion.
Prof. Sanjeev Gupta, Prof.Gurdayal and Prof. Joginder Kumar acted as jury members. |
