Early Times Report KATHUA, Dec 23: The talent search tournament, organised by the School Sports Promotion Foundation (SSPF) and Sports Authority of India (SAI) concluded at both the venues of district Samba and Kashmir today. During the three-day competition, those young footballers from different educational institutions contested against each other on league basis. At Hiranagar (Kathua cluster), Army Public School (APS) Janglot won their third consecutive game played against Infant Jesus School (IJS) making it 3-0 to top the cluster. As a result, Sai International School (SIS) were tied with Infant Jesus at second spot but later qualified for the knockout stages considering goal difference. Meanwhile, Samba cluster today saw the ouster of KV Samba and Arvind Gosh School, Vijaypur as JK Public School won all its matches to top the cluster with hosts MV International securing the second spot to qualify for next knockout stage where they will fight it against the qualifiers from Kathua cluster in January. Matches were officiated by the technical penal comprising Gagan Deep, Sachin Khajuria, Hardhik Pathania and Palwinder Singh under the supervision of cluster coordinators, Satnam Singh and Dil Bahadur Gurung, district coordinator, Arun Paul Singh Jasrotia and state coordinator, Iqbal Singh. |
