CM not invited, DyCM to skip function 12/23/2015 11:22:41 PM Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 23: Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh is skipping the inaugural function of Basohli bridge on Thursday. The bridge which will be inaugurated by Defence Minister Manohar Parikar in the presence of Union Minister of State Dr Jitendra Singh, was also to be attended by Nirmal Singh as well as Health and Medical Education Minister Lal Singh. Ironically, Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed has not been invited to the function. Dr Singh who is also the senior representative of BJP in the state cabinet, according to sources has excused himself, saying he is preoccupied with another programme convened by Chief Minister Mufti Mohammed Sayeed in Srinagar. Nirmal Singh also did not attend the foundation laying function of Krindya Gadyal bridge early this year at Kathua the foundation stone of which was laid by Union Surface Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari. Sources said the BJP ministers who have sharp differences with each other don't like to participate in a joint function too as every one wants to show superiority over each other. Sources said the Deputy CM is also annoyed that the organizers have not invited Chief Minister Mufti Mohammed Sayeed.
