National Consumer Rights Day celebrates at YCET

JAMMU, Dec 23: National Consumer Rights Day-2015 has been celebrated jointly by Yogananda College of Engineering & Technology (YCET) and Consumer Protection Organization (CPO) on 23rd Dec. 2015 in YCET campus.
Minister of CA&PD and Tribal Affairs, Ch. Zulfkar Ali was the Chief Guest of the function which was presided over by Dr. Seema Narain, Director YCET.
To adorn the occasion with their valuable presence, Surinder Choudhary, MLC, J&K, Legislative Council, was the Guest of Honour.
G.S. Chib, Director CA&PD graced the occasion with his vibrant presence. D.R. Danish President, CPO, and K L Magotra, General Secretary, CPO were present on the occasion.
Dr Seema Narain, welcomed the distinguished guests and the dignitaries present on the occasion and facilitated them. Minister CA&PD & Tribal Affairs, Ch. Zulfkar Ali highlighted the imminent need and growing importance of public private participation and exhorted upon the youths to play a crucial and decisive role in spreading consumer awareness and contribute in nation building.
Surinder Choudhary, MLC, J&K Legislative Council, brought to light pertinent issues and challenges related to consumer affairs and public distribution system.
All the deliberations were helpful in creating mass awareness and sensitize the consumers about their rights and duties. All Faculty members, staff and students of YCET participated in the vigorous consumer awareness campaign. Vote of thanks was presented by Er. Rajnish Magotra.
