JAMMU, Dec 23: The Jammu Central Mahajan Sabha, Shalamar Road, Jammu celebrated the 125th Birth Anniversary of "Justice Mehar Chand Mahajan", first Prime Minister of Jammu & Kashmir State and Chief Justice of India, on 23rd of December, 2015 at Justice Mehar Chand Chowk, High Court Road, Jammu under the chairmanship of Vinod Kumar Gupta, President of the Sabha while Kavinder Gupta, Speaker Legislative Assembly of J&K State, Rajesh Gupta, MLA ,Jammu East and Sat Sharma,Jammu West were also present to pay homage to this great leader.
The function was started with chanting of Gyatri Mantra and there after all the dignitaries garlanded the Photo of Justice Mehar Chand Mahajan. Vinod Kumar Gupta, President of the Sabha highlighted the contributions of Justice Mehar Chand Mahajan towards the Nation and particularly for the J&K State. Vinod kumar Gupta requested to Kavinder Gupta and other MLAs for installation of the Statute of Justice Mehar Chand Mahajan at this Chowk. The Pressident of the Sabha also informed that Central Mahajan Sabha is already running a Charitable Hospital in Gandhi Nagar in the name of 'Justice Mehar Chand Mahajan".
Kavinder Gupta assured that he will take all the initiative forth in installation of Statute to fulfill the aspirations of the community. Sat Sharma announced that he will , provide funds from his constituency for the installation of statue of Justice Mehar Chand Mahajan , Dr. Sudesh Chander, Vice President, Lala Amar Nath Gupta, Chief Patron and Amar Chand Gupta, patron of the Sabha and some other dignitaries also spoken on this occasion. Beside a large number of public including women and children, Ram Charan gupta, Om Parkash Gupta, KrishanLal Gupta, Bhushan Pargal, Satish Chander Gupta, Vijay Gupta, Pardeep Gupta, Chander Shekhar Gupta, Yashpal Gupta, Shiv Partap Gupta, Raghbir Gupta,and Chander Mohan Gupta, General Secretary of the Sabha also attended the function. |
