| Katra, Dec 23: National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), Reasi office organized a District level sensitisation program on Joint liability Groups (JLG) at Katra. Program was attended by branch managers of EDB, PNB, UCO bank, united bank, JCCB and JLG members. Aarshi Sharma District Development Manager (NABARD) advised Bank managers to upscale the JLG credit linkage programme in district Reasi. The participants were informed that NABARD is implementing JLG scheme in District Reasi. She explained the concept of JLG scheme to the participants. She motivated the participants to form and credit link joint liability group's in their area of operation. The branch managers raised the operational issues, which were also sorted out in the programme. She explained that JLGs are formed of 4-10 individuals for the purpose of taking bank loan. However they can do savings also in case they desire to. JLGs can be financed as a group or individually also. JLG members discussed process of credit linkage with branch managers. |
