JKAED celebrates Kissan Divas

R S PURA, Dec, 23: Jammu and Kashmir Agri-Entrepreneurship Development Association, today celebrated 8th Kissan Divas in collaboration with KVK Jammu R S Pura with great zeal, pump and show at SKUAST-J conference Hall, R S Pura.
With the active support and sponsorship of Jammu and Kashmir Cooperative Union Chairman, about 500-700 progressive farmers, Scientists from KVK and SKUAST-J were present on the occasion.
Kulbushan Sharma, General Secretary JKAED formally welcomed the chief guest and other dignitaries present on the occasion. He highlighted different achievement of the associations for the last Eight years. President of the association, Kulbushan Khajuria put forth different demands of the resource poor farmers viz creation of Kissan Relief fund, early release of compensations for the flood affected crops, passing out of SRO-44 for farmers family benefit, raising of Agricultural budget from 6% onwards, weaving off of excess electricity charges during the programmes.
Chief Guest of the Occasion, Vice Chairman Kissan Advisory Boards, Daljit Singh Chib assured the farmers to take up the matter with Chief Minister of the state while Guest of Honour, Dr Gagan Bhagat MLA R S Pura also assured the farmers to take up all their demands to the legislative assembly for further action in this regards.
