Police recovered abducted girl after 5 months, accused held

Rajouri, Dec 23: Rajouri police today claimed to have recovered another abducted girl after almost five months besides effecting the arrest of her abductor.
Police spokesman said, "One person namely Mohd Aziz of Gakhrote, Kandi lodged a written report at Police Station Kandi alleging therein that her 19 year old daughter (name withheld) is missing from her house from 28/06/2015." "Complainant alleged that one person namely Shakeel Ahmed of Thanamandi has kidnapped the girl," police said .
Police said, "Accordingly a case under FIR No.97/2015 u/s 366, 376, 342 and 109 of RPC was registered at Police Station Kandi and investigations were started."
"During the course of investigation a series of raids were carried out at different suspected locations of Kandi-Budhal area but all went futile", said police spokesman. "Even few suspects were picked up and questioned by Police.
"However acting on specific information Police party from Police Station Kandi conducted a raid in Thanamandi and recovered the kidnapped girl while her abductor too was arrested by the police," police said.
Police said that after completion of legal formalities the girl was handed over to family members while further investigations are on in this regard.
