KATRA, Dec 23: Police have arrested two bootleggers' alongwith 60 poly pouches of J&K Excise Liquor during a surprise naka checking raid conducted in Katra here today.
Police spokesperson said, the accused have been namely Suraj s/o Indru and Mohan Lal s/o Madan Lal both residents of village Serwad Tehsil Katra District Reasi, police
"Acting on specific information, Katra police laid a special Naka at Balini Katra and during checking police team apprehended above mentioned two persons for their suspicious movements," police said.
Police said that during their frisking the police team recovered 60 poly pouches measuring 250/250 ml each of J&K Excise Liquor recovered/seized from their possession.
Police said that Police party led by Inspector Kuldeep Krishan, SHO P/S Katra, under the supervision of Dr Ashok Sharma, SDPO Katra, Sumir Kotwal, KPS Addl SP Katra and overall supervision of Sujit Kumar, IPS SSP Reasi
In this connection a case FIR No.204/2015 U/S 48(a) Excise Act, 188/RPC stands registered at Police Station Katra against the accused person and investigation is in progress. |
