YNC deputation calls on SE-PDD, highlights concern over 'erratic power supply'

KISHTWAR, Dec 23: A deputation of National Conference (Youth ) Kishtwar led by its District President Farooq Ahmed Dev today called on Superintending Engineer (SE) Power Development Department (PDD) Kishtwar in his office chamber and expressed concerns over frequent electricity cuts in the District Kishtwar.
During the interaction, the deputation apprised SE PDD about the problems faced by the people due to electricity cuts and also pin pointed as it being examination time the students are suffering a lot and demanded uninterrupted electricity on auspicious festivity of EID Milad-un-Nabi (SA).
"It is very unfortunate that Kishtwar District produces electricity which is being supplied to other parts of the country while Kishtwar at the same time is without electricity" said Dev and demanded for reduction in power curtailments during harsh winter season.
SE -PDD while paying patient attention to delegation said that the department is facing a major problem due to illegal connections and unnecessary use of power. He also appealed the people to make judicious use of electricity during winter season when demand is high as compared to the power generation which touches low.
Among the prominent who were part of the deputation include Asif Qazi District Secretary YNC, Arif Butt, Sajjad Ahmed Vice President YNC, Zakir Hussain Block Secretary, Khalid Mir. Ch. Firdous, Nayeem Javed, Saboor Dev, Kashif Trak and others.
