Temporary teachers hold protest, demands continuation of services | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 24: Demanding continuation of their services, the J&K Temporary Teachers Association (JKTTA) held a massive protest here today. Led by Bhopinder Choudhary, General Secretary of the Association, hundreds of temporary teachers gathered at Exhibition Ground Jammu. In this protest teachers expressed their anger towards the present dispensation by raising anti-government. While interacting with the media persons, Bhopinder Choudhary said that the government is befooling temporary teachers while making false verbal promises over and over again adding that no solid assurance has been given by the government till date. He said that the Education department had issued an order regarding collection of data for the Temporary Teachers serving in both Kashmir and Jammu division, however, the data was only collected from Valley by the authorities. He further said that we want justice and cannot tolerate discrimination with Jammu division as it is blatant exploitation of human rights. Temporary teachers warned the government, if their genuine demands are not fulfilled they will not stop their agitation and may take extreme steps in the coming days. |
