| Ladakhi students protest against SSB, allege discrepancies in centre allotment | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 24: A huge protest was staged against Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board (JKSSB) by several Ladakhi students under the banner of All Ladakh Students Association Jammu (ALSAJ), SAOLJ and ALSWAJ here at Press Club Jammu.
The protesting students alleged that many Ladakhi students in Jammu applied for the upcoming JKSSB exam on December 25 and 26 and all the students clearly preferred Jammu as their choice of examination centre while filling up the form but when admit cards came up we came to know that all Ladakhi students were allotted centres in Kashmir.
The agitated students further said that after that we were told that we have to fill up a form at JKSSB office in Paloura to make changes in the examination centre and every student followed the instructions, however, the students were betrayed by the board and made no changes. Therefore, we consider it to be a huge inefficiency in the working of the board. The protesters demanded that the the board must take immediate action and allot examination centres to our students in Jammu. |
