BJP punishes Kirti for his fight against corruption: Hari Om | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 24: Terming the suspension of BJP MP from Darbhanga, upright, fearless, a nationalist to the core and crusader against corruption Kirti Azad for his alleged "anti-Party" activities as unfortunate and a nail in the coffin of the BJP, expelled BJP leader and former political advisor to J&K BJP president Prof Hari Om on Thursday said that the BJP high command has no place in the party for those who are well-wishers of the party and ardent believers in the concept of Indian unity and sovereignty. "Today's BJP is a party of sycophants, self-seekers, intriguers and undesirables," he said in a written statement issued here to the press, the country's lost hope. "The BJP high command is in self-destruct mode," he said, and added that "it, if continued to humiliate and kill the party's and the nation's staunch supporters in the manner it did to Kirti Azad any longer, India will become BJP-free sooner than later and it would be a saddest day for India, which has been passing through a very critical phase of its history". "By suspending upright, honest-to-the-core and courageous Kirti Azad from the party, the BJP high command has accorded dangerous legitimacy to the menace corruption and sent a message across the globe that the BJP is a party of those who shield the corrupt and punish those who are leaders with mass experience and who stand for probity in public life and national unity," said Prof Hari Om, who served the vary in various capacities for more than two decades. "What sin Kirti Azad committed that made the BJP high command to show him the door?, he asked, and said that "his only crime was that he attempted to expose those who had converted the Delhi District Cricket Association (DDCA) into a den of corruption". By showing Azad the door, the BJP high command has only exposed its duplicity and proved that it is worse than any other political party in the country, he said, adding that the BJP has become an object of contempt and ridicule by punishing a man with an impeccable record. Prof Hari Om said that the suspension of Kirti Azad has only outraged the nation and asserted that the alienated nation will not forgive the BJP for the heinous crime that it committed in a most brazen manner by punishing such an innocent and honest person. Prof Hari Om said that he also was punished for upholding the party's cause and for his unambiguous rational and national stand that its alliance with the pro-self-rule, pro-separatist, pro-Pakistan, fundamentally Kashmir-centric and rabidly anti-Jammu PDP will hart the BJP in J&K and rest of the country and only promote the Pakistan's and separatists' cause in the state. "My only crime was that I consistently requested the party high command through letters and press statements to sever its ties with the PDP and play the role of an effective and responsible opposition in the sensitive, strategic and terrorist-infested state, saying that the PDP, the NC and the Congress were chips of the same block and that the state needed an effective opposition to defeat separatists and the perverted political class in Kashmir. I wrote half a dozen letters to the BJP national president and the Prime Minister informing them about the dangerous ramifications of the BJP's alliance with the PDP and the atrocious PDP-BJP agenda of Alliance, but they, instead of reading the writing on the wall, chose to punish me," asserted Prof Hari Om. He added that his expulsion from the party for six years for his alleged anti-party activities was the party high command's message to the Kashmiri separatists and its source of inspiration and mentor, Pakistan, that the BJP had made up its mind to sign away J&K and throw in the lot of the minorities in the state with the dreaded wolves. Prof Hari Om once again urged the party high command to refrain from committing the kinds of blunders it committed after May 2014, suggesting that not to do so would be only to ensure the party's defeat in the poll-bound states like it happened in assembly elections in Delhi and Bihar, by-polls in MP and Jharkhand and local bodies' and panchayat elections in UP and Gujarat. |
