| Three booked for stabbing 'mother' over eve teasing | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 24: Panic gripped in Gharota area of city outskirts when three youths allegedly teased a young girl and stabbed her mother, when she resisted their indecent behavior.
"The accused have been identified as Tarsem Lal, his brother Ashok Kumar and Bua Ditta s/o Kishore Kumar of Divani area, police said quoting the complainant.
As per complainant, the police said," one Makhno Devi of Gharota while was returning home with her 17 year old daughter and the duo was intercepted by three miscreants at Rabta lower area.
"The youths started teasing the girl initially the duo ignored them, police said, adding, "the youths allegedly followed them and molested the young girl when the mother resisted their advances they stabbed her with sharp edged weapon when some passersby rushed to spot the accused fled from the spot.
Meantime the police was informed and a police team immediately shifted the injured woman to the nearby hospital for treatment.
Police said a case stands registered against the accused at the concerned police station and manhunt has been launched to nab the absconding trio. |
