| 2 drug peddlers nabbed along with over 2 kgs charas | | | Early Times Report
Ramban, Dec 24: Continuing its drive against drug peddlers and bootleggers by the District Police Ramban, police today apprehended two persons and recovered over 02 kgs of Charas from their possession during a naka checking on National Highway near Baggu Nallah of Ramban district.
Police spokesperson said that the arrested duo has been identified as Kali Singh s/o Tez Ram and Prithvi Raj s/o Sher Singh both hailing from Kharkund Damote Tehsil of district Ramban.
"Acting on specific information, a police party led by Inspr Arun Kotwal SHO PS Batote laid a special naka at National Highway near Baggu Nalla and stopped two above mentioned persons roaming in suspicious circumstances, police spokesperson said.
Police said, "During their checking and personal frisking, police team recovered 02 kgs and 400 gms of Charas which was recovered from their possession."
"Accordingly both the drug peddlers were arrested on the spot, police said, while adding that a case FIR no 127/2015 u/s 8/20 NDPS stands registered at PS Batote.
Police said that arrest has been made by Inspr Arun Kotwal SHO PS Batote under the direct supervision of Rafiq Choudhary, DySP Hqrs Ramban and Randeep Kumar, SSP Ramban. |
