| Convention of Prajapati Kumhar Sabha held | | | Early Times Report
Samba, Dec 24 : One day convention of Prajapati Kumhar Sabha was held at Samba under the chairmanship of Bua Ditta District President and Ashok Badyal Chief advisor of the Sabha Samba. A large number of the community peoples from various parts of the district Samba and adjoining areas have participated in the Programme. In this Convention various Problems being faced by the community were discussed. The speakers while addressing expressed their views that the main Profession of the community earthen water pot Making and carrying of loads on the horse/mules has got an old fashion and has been replaced by the stainless steel, untencils, Motorable auto load carrier auto. The people of the community are facing very difficulties for earing their livelihood. Ashok Badyal Chief Advisor of the Sabha has asked the birdhari people to provide their education to their children by their all means and advised the un-employed youth of the community to adopt new method of Pottery Profession, with latest designs and modern techniques. So that the general public may purchase them and use in their daily house hold purposes. He appealed to the govt to provided loan facilities to these people on the lowest interest rates so that they may continue their small scale industries on new modern techniques after imparting them training outside the state also stress the need to introduce this pottery profession in the J&K state ITI colleges. |
