Panthers Party holds rally at Majalta | | | Early Times Report Majalta, Dec 25: Launching a blistering attack on the BJP-PDP coalition for perpetuating bias against Jammu region, Harsh Dev Singh Chairman JKNPP and former Minister today announced to intensify the Party's campaign particularly against the puppet Ministers of Jammu for pushing the Dogra land to terminal decline. He said that Jammu based mandated leaders should not be misled by the peoples' silence as their subdued anger had reached its crescendo and could have an enormous ripple effect in the days to come. It was a sort of lull before the storm, roared, he while addressing a mammoth rally at Dhema, Majalta attended by 5000 odd people. The Panthers Party rally started from Manwal and after brief halts at Battal, Bharmara, Kail, Paldai, Sunal culminated at Dhema where it was addressed by several Party Leaders. He said that Jammu electorates had given an overwhelming mandate to BJP under the mistaken belief that this party would salvage Jammu Pardesh and ensure them justice with honour and dignity. He said that the electorates of the region who had pinned high hopes in the BJP were utterly dis-illusioned to see it making one somersault after the other for power sake. He said that BJP had not only discarded its age old philosophy and principals but had crossed all limits of timidity to remain glued to power. He said that BJP had not only surrendered on the issue of Art 370, Art 35 A, 'Ek Nishan Ek Vidhan', CM from Jammu but had completely submitted itself to the tutelage of PDP whose agenda was being promoted collectively by the two parties. Lambasting the BJP-PDP combine for neglecting to address the issues of continued regional bias, Mr. Harsh Dev Singh said that allocation of State resources continued to be disproportionate with merely a sprinkling showered upon Jammu. He said that while more than Rs. 200 crore had been utilized under R&B for black topping of roads in Kashmir Division, Jammu region was made to content with a negligible funding covering a few city roads only. He said that while Dy. CM and power Minister had announced 24X7 power for Kashmir valley, Jammu region was facing unprecedented power cuts with a new power cut schedule announced every day. Likewise he said, more than 700 SPOs of Kashmir region were regularized to the neglect of Jammu region SPOs. |
