SEECC criticizes Govt for appointing KAS officer as Joint directors | | | Early Times Report Kathua, Dec 25 : School Education Officers and Employees co-ordination committee (SEECC) today held a meeting under the Chairmanship of Amar Nath Thakur in which they criticizes state government to appoint KAS Officers as Joint Directors in the Education Department. According to press release, Committee members appealed Chief Minister Mufti Mohd. Sayeed not to consider the recommendations of Cabinet Sub Committee in which they appoint eight Joint Directors from KAS Cadre. They further warned that this move of government will be counterproductive and only well experienced capable and efficient academicians from the education department should be appointed on the post of Joint directors. "Education department 40 percent teaching staff are females teachers adjusted in cities and towns, only male members are posted in far flung and rural areas and most of the male teachers are engaged in performing the duties of BLO's, MDM, enumeration at the cost of student studies, student of poor families only read in government schools, mass promotion Policy of the government under right to education act is totally against the quality education", they said. Thakur in his address criticized the move of the government saying that it is violation of SRO 481 Edu of 2010 and under mining the capabilities of +2 Lecturers and degrading their Cadre, this move of the government is only to insult the +2 cadre and creating question mark on their efficiency.Thakur said that Education Minister should with an open mind discuss all issues with the representatives of the teachers and should adopt a consolatory approach towards the teachers to uplift the education standard to defame and under estimate the community would not serve the purpose. |
