| NC stages protest against Food Security Bill | | |  Early Times Report
Kathua, Dec 25: Youth Wing of National Conference Kathua unit today stages protest demonstration blocked National Highway 1A near Hatli Morh Kathua under the leadership of Harpreet Singh Sethi.
According to press release, they condemned National Food Security Bill and allegedly wrong policies of state government.
While addressing protesters, Sethi said State government tries to make people fool even made false promises for development in entire district during election campaign but nothing has been done in 9 months of tenure.
He further said that Food Security Act was merely mockery with common man and nothing will be special that would surprise all.
"How government could distribute ration supply without conducting survey for large number of people falling under Below Poverty line", he questioned, adding that a labourer will have huge amount to approach for ration thereafter amount will be returned to their bank accounts.
They further said that NFSA has added miseries to the people. People are dying of hunger and government is hell bent upon to do it (go ahead with the implementation of the Act).
The youth wing of the National Conference held a massive anti- government march against the killing of one of its youth leaders in Rajouri .They demanded judicial probe into the youth death in Rajouri
Provincial Secretary Davinder Mehta , Pardeep Kesar joint secretary , Rakesh Kumar Raju senior youth leader, Amit Sharma Rajesh Raghu and Surinder Aryan were also present on the occasion. |
