Udhampur, Dec 25: Residents of hospital Road in Udhampur are up in arms against the Power Development Department (PDD) as it has failed to replace damaged electric poles in the area. A delegation of residents comprising Barun Bagat , Rajinder , Madan Lal , Bharat Chowdary, Sanjeev, Ashok Kumar and others while talking to Early Times said, "We have registered many complaints with PDD Department Head Office at Udhampur some months ago in regard to replacing these poles which have been totally damaged from the bottom." "These damaged poles are posing a serious threat to our lives. Our repeated pleas to get these replaced have fallen flat on deaf ears," they said.
When contacted XEn PDD Udhampur Jarnail Singh said the matter was not in his knowledge but he would depute a team to visit the area and get the damaged poles replaced. |
