Doda, Jan 21: An emergency meeting of PHE Workers Welfare Association was held today at district headquarters Doda . The meeting was presided over by Abdul Rashid Jaral District President of the Association and Mirza Irshad Hussain Provincial Convenor PHE Daily Wagers Association.
In the meeting, the district unit of PHE Daily Wagers Association was frammed. Shokat Ali Bhat has been unanimously elected as District President of the Association while Ghulam Mohd Dar, Abdul Majid Misger and Farid Ahmed Naik were made General Secretary, Vice President and Secretary respectively. Mohinder Kumar Bhagat was elected as cashier , Mohd Rafiq as Joint Secretary Zakir Hussain Press Secretary ,Mohd Ashfaq Mengno as Organizer and Irfan Yousaf , Rajinder Singh and Keshaw Kumar as members.
The office bearers of the association have appealed the Governor N N Vohra to regularise all the daily wagers working in PHE department engaged after 1994. The workers also demanded release of pending wages for the last thity months |
