Speaker interacts with KCPS students | 'Swachh Bharat' Mission | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 21 : A large contingent of KC Public School students went around their school neighbourhood today morning on a cleanliness mission in order to put into practice the mission of 'Swachh Bharat'. They were personally led by the chief guest, Speaker of J&K State Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta and chairman of KC Educational Society, Raju Chowdhary in their mission and took pleasure in picking with their own hands the litter off a link road adjoining the school campus alongside school children. Earlier, in a special function organized at KC Sports Club in the morning, the students of the school listened to the inspirational talk delivered by the special guest with avid attention. Gupta reminded them of the imperative need to conserve and protect the planet earth's extremely fragile environment and reiterated the significance of the call for a clean and healthy India given out by the Prime Minister in accordance with the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi. He expressed the hope that the youth of the country would abide by it to make earth a safer place for generations to come. He added that the government of Jammu & Kashmir was deeply committed to the mission of a clean India and has already taken numerous measures to provide the people of the State a healthy and clean environment. A short cultural programme was also presented on the occasion in which students highlighted the importance of cleanliness through a group song, a choreographed dance movement and a street play. They concluded the programme by taking a collective pledge to keep their immediate surroundings neat and clean. Principal, Amarendra Mishra thanked special guest for his highly motivational talk and assured him that the children of KC Public School would always remain committed to the cause of a clean India. |
