JAMMU, Jan 21 : Jammu and Kashmir Sambo Association today felicitated those medal winners in the recently held Sub-Junior and Junior (boys and girls) National Championship held at Hansi, Hisar in Haryana.
In this four-day competition, girls' teams from J&K bagged overall trophy in under-14 and under-16 age categories.
To encourage those medal winners and other upcoming players in the game, the Association organised a felicitated function wherein Member Parliament, Shamsher Singh Manhas was chief guest.
The chief guest encouraged the budding talent and appreciated the Association for producing medal winners. General secretary of Press Club of Jammu, Zorawar Singh Jamwal was guest of honour while president of State Sambo Association, Sanjeev Singh, general secretary, Rohit Sadhotra were among other special guests.
Also present were Rajiv Kumar, Varinder Sharma, Suraj Bhan, Vikas Gupta and Bhanu Jasrotia.
The state contingent in the nationals was accompanied by coach, Rameshwar Singh, lady coach, Komal Gupta and manager, Neha Sharma. The Medal Winners :
GOLD : Sehar,Tanvi, Sajan, Kundan, Gulshan, Sparsh and Aditya Parihar. SILVER: Manya Sharma Aradhya, Payal, Akriti, Shrishti, Sawarn Singh, Awdesh Singh, Vasu Vaid, Rishav and Kanishka. BRONZE : Piyush Doodha, Gagan Singh, Akshay Sharma, Mritunjay Kotwal, Mohit Jamwal, Abhi Jai Partap, Gurleen, Kumakshi and Ridhima Jamwal. |
